I was never even big on ff7 tbh, ff tactics was the better game in every way to me in my youth.

My first date was tifa and i enjoyed the hell outta golden saucer tho.

nier is a great game hands down, overhyped or not, its worth 30 or w/e you payed, salad barely played it

kinda hyped for ff7, havent really looked at the remake at all so just gonna go in blind and see how it goes. 1 and 7 are the only single player ff games i really put much time in.

So, I guess Nier's higher metacritic score means nothing.

But yeah, Amazon charged me this morning but still hasn't shipped it out. It's still promising tomorrow, so we'll see.

Day, you should try FF12 out sometime on PC. It's a great game and the battle system is similar to FF11, so I feel like you'd like it.

The main character kind of sucks and the story isn't really for me, but everything else about the game is great

The second playthrough is a lot of backtracking but the payoff for the 3rd scenario and onward is well worth it.

I realize I'm in the minority but 12 is probably my favourite story of all the FFs. It has the least silly anime plot devices of them all. Everything is politically driven, empire vs empire shit.

I thought 12 was a lot of fun, but never played through the whole thing as I got sidetracked with Hunts and then moved on to something else. I think I basically spent a week playing on and off while on a family vacation and then was back to XI land when we got home.
