students will have the ability to petition to have their grade changed to pass/no credit if they don’t like their grade for the class, so I am assuming most students are just going to take a mulligan

i still have to fail them though, it’s up to them to follow up afterwards with an advisor about changing their grade. puts me in the bad guy position but oh well

this is my general breakdown:

1. Get up and type up general lecture notes for the day (sometimes I do it the night before)

2. Log on to canvas during class time, begin posting the lecture notes in segments

3. Post a link to Zoom for students to come in and ask questions about the notes, lasts for about an hour

generally, I have about 5-7 students in each class who are on the ball, post in the discussion forum while I’m there to say hello and whatnot, then a couple of them will come over to zoom with questions/follow up

another 5ish students who are sporadic, might not show up at all online, but still email and post assignments (usually late, but we have been told to be lenient with lateness)

and then the other half of the class has been thanos’d

Shepard, I'm not gonna lie, I've thought about doing that shit for a good 5 years to make bank so don't be surprised if I ever PM you. My clearance I'm sure is still valid too although I can't check.

I can get you a job if you got your TS, hell, ill get a 5k bonus if you get hired for more than 90 days. With that said, stuffs always changing, and I'm honestly thinking afghan is going away this year, finally. So things may be crazy but if you don't mind selling your moral/ethical code, you'll be alright. Aren't you in school now?

Yeah I am. I'm almost done though. This semester has probably been the worst one I've ever experienced though so we'll see how that goes.

I got both cars serviced just before everything shut down here. Haven't had to put any more mileage on the leased car and haven't filled up either car since my office closed.

45-50 min commute. It's a very common thing in this area.

Houses in Westchester, for something the same size as we have now, can be 150-200k more and pay over double in taxes annually. And we'd have less than half the lot size we currently have.

Worst thing is losing time, but I used to commute 125 miles/day and it was at least double the time. This is a step up.

Bruh my monthly commute is about $550 because of the MetroNorth. I'm saving so much money now.

Although a month before the shutdown started, I hit a stack in repairs for my car so maybe not really.

I mean, we put a lot of mileage on the cars, but I'll probably grab a beater with the money we're saving and be good with that for a while. That or buy out my current lease, but it's a super basic manual Jetta. Buyout price is decent.

I used to have a gas card for commuting, but I have a higher salary at the current job and the current job is closer to home so it's kind of a wash.
