how far along are you? The Wire along with The Sopranos is the best television drama ever made, one of the finest works of art of the 21st century. think i've run it back four times by now.
I just finished season one and damn good god y'all I did not expect Wallace to get done like that and Dee going back on his turn even after made it even more tragic, and the episode after Kima goes undercover with Rawls talking to McNulty in the hospital, mwah. I'm told it only gets better.

Rewatching The Wire is probably next on my list. I just made it thru all the seasons of The Expanse (what a fucking show, can't believe I had never watched it before) and am getting down with Carnival Row at the moment (meh).
It's been a hot minute since I last watched this show so it'll all be fairly fresh at this point.
i thought the setting of carnival row was unique and kinda cool. legolas in anything is always weird to me tho
the expanse is the hotness and anyone that enjoys sci-fi shenanigans should watch it
I have a confession to make.
I've never seen the Wire.
Watch that before The Expanse?
that's def one of my favorite character moments. Rawls (along with Burrell) is the physical manifestation of the institution > individual ethos that the show rails against, and (unlike Burrell) is a bit of a malicious sadist yet without violating his character in any way he is the one to break through to a spiraling McNulty that he despises. double mwah.
heads up a lot of people struggle with season 2 but it'll all come together just gotta believe in the journey. 3 + 4 are mastapieces.
apparently i need to watch The Expanse
oh dang the showrunners are the guys who wrote the script for Children of Men SOLD
Brb pirating audiobooooks
I started The Expanse on Thursday evening and finished yesterday afternoon, shit had me hooked.
Just word of wisdom if you're gonna binge it, at certain points the show makes some large shifts in the status quo (middle-ish of seasons 2 and 3) and you'll probably be confused because they just jump right the fuck into it with the next episode, just hold off and they'll explain what you missed.
Don't do like I did and immediately run to the wiki to try to figure out what you missed, you'll probably end up spoiling something.
