I don't see why you would have the expectation of Limits always hitting when literally everything else in the game can miss based on positioning. Seems kind of a silly to me.
Missing/losing the bar because the boss did a cinematic power up is a whole different story though.
Could limits missing be a bug? As an example, cross slash will miss if I'm not next to the enemy, but Ascension i seem to be able to activate wherever and cloud teleports to the enemy.
Also as an aside i wish limits built quicker. I think i got LB a dozen times through my playthrough or less.
Yeah, how slow Limits are kind of made the Refocus materia useless to me. That thing should not be tied to Limit Breaks.
Missing isn't a bug I think, but they have so many iframes and distance closing on them that it's hard to miss without some kinda bullshit happening. Ascension I never missed once on, Dolphin either. Catastrophe I only missed once cause of a transformation scene on a boss.
Limits do charge too slow. Refocus I think might speed it up cause when I wore that I did get limit faster, but that might just be in my head lol.

I feel like if you are well versed with a fight or know when things are about to happen then you should know better than to just blow your limit break because you have it, save that shit for pressure or during a stagger to really chunk. If you're just popping it as soon as you get it and that happens to you then that's your fault. If its your first time experiencing a fight and it happens to you, then fair game but during my entire play through I couldn't have that ever line up, maybe it did for others but that's just my 2 cents.
It's near impossible to know how to time limits or big bursts on your first playthrough. Even on replay i know to expect form changes but its going to take a few run throughs for me to know a fight enough to time it properly. It would be most simply solved by letting the damage push through the next form. One example was whisper bahamut, i had him staggered, blew ascention, and after the damage from the first hit he form changed, and the rest of the hits went to nothing. Just shit luck on my end, nothing you can do about it, but it's still pretty frustrating.
Maybe if you're really pessimistic or on the other side of the planet sure, but when you enter a cutscene at point blank range and then the latter half does nothing then surely some expectations were destroyed.
I don't disagree you should adapt and move on, but acting like you shouldn't be bitter or disappointed about it is ridiculous.
K and it was for me as well, but it became pretty apparent HP gates were 70, 50, 30 and 10% for phases pretty quickly.
How much do i need to fucking prepare for this Bahamut fight?!?!? Only character i have above 8K hp is Barret, and they’re all lvl 50. I can barely shave off 30% before he megaflares.
Does magnify reduce the effectiveness of barrier and manaward?
For bahamut on hard you shouldn't need revival or manaward unless you are going real slow. Let reprieve catch you and eat 1 MF then kill it.
For normal, idk revive earrings definitely work but I still prefer manaward. It's the 1 fight where there is even a point to using it.
Hard Hell House was beating my ass the other day because I can't raise on both chars and I keep getting taken out by the two robots in the last phase. Also is there a way to dodge Hellbound or is all I have is Manawall and pray?
