Why? Because she's not sexy or super strong or a martial arts badass?

Also some woman is having loud sex somewhere near my apartment, I'm 100% sure of that but can't tell if it's being filmed or not. This started about 2 hours ago.

the space pirate always wins 'cause they're a space pirate
that sounds kinda gay tbh
People always presume Zoe is badass all the time because ex soldier and all that, but the character was a competent, and compassionate one that did everything that was required of her. People often assume Wash was the heart of the ship, but no. He was just a funny guy. zoe was the heart and would've been twice the captain that Mal was.
i mean
Buffy
"strong female" is kind of a dumb way to evaluate characters but if we're talking about good characters, Buffy, Cordelia, Faith, Willow, Zoe, Fred
Whedon sucks as a human being but his work stands above him. the decades of gifted writing and exceptional character building don't disappear. The Body isn't any less of a masterpiece. Buffy isn't any less of a role model.
great gif response, firefly guy but as castle
if you're a purveyor of the arts and you aren't a piece of shit, what are you even doing with your life
Characters like Murphy Brown, Clair Huxtable, Harriet Winslow, Roseanne, Mary Richards, Dorothy Zbornak; all strike me as much better examples of a strong female character than someone who is basically one of them but fetishized.

As an aside, good female characters don't have to be strong female characters. You don't ever hear discussions about "strong male characters" for that exact reason. Also strong female characters are often written in a manner that shuns or minimizes their femininity (in the classical sense), which can be fine, but actual women "strong" or not, exist on different places within the ranges of femininity.
Goddamn, now I'm thinking about all the shit people gave the Skyler White character, to the point of giving her actress shit.
Women and minorities almost exclusively bear the brunt of extreme criticism and hatred from Fandoms (mostly the men) to the point of them having to go dark on social media and in real life.
We must double our efforts then, because you still havent.
