Aion Classic is launching in NA. Did anyone play it? I hear there are/were open world spawns.
You should do it. Get your crack cocaine back into your veins.
I've done some research, it's 60/40 open world vs instance which I could be fine with (with Dynamis, Limbus, and the Sky/Sea Pop NM systems that's not too different from XI), but the world spawns aren't claim it's DPS gauged for loot...
So, similar to Domain Invasion.
I mean I guess in a way it's even better for top down because if the top guild can just DPS harder then they can monopolize EVERY world spawn instead of only having a proportional claim advantage. But how does tanking and healing work in a system like that? It feels like you want to only bring enough support to keep your DPS functioning to get the loot, but you don't want a tank that draws complete aggro and takes the pressure off other alliances and lets them bring full DPS and no support.
Is it DPS by group or by individual?
My son is like obsessed with sushi in a way I don’t understand.
Once every few months he asks if we can have sushi…but he never ends up liking it.
I always order it when he asks because I am down for him wanting to try it, but this is the only food he seems to not like but is desperate to like.
He’s 7 btw.
Is there a Bluey episode about sushi? There must be.
I was thinking maybe he reads Manga or watches Anime, sushi is in it often.
What sort of sushi does he order? Rolls will probably go better with kids than nigiri.
I played Aion at launch with BGers. It's a decent game with the ability to level solo or in instances/groups. There's open world PVP, as well as a PVP raid-type zone called the Abyss. basically a clan and side will try to seize control of forts guarded by NPCs/clan with a raid boss guy at the end.
Instances are fun enough. There are random spawn and random HQ final bosses for a number of them. Kromede is one that comes to mind, where the instance has a chance to spawn the HQ Kromede which guarantees a Legendary weapon drop.
World spawns were hectic from what I remember, and questing solo in the Abyss was almost suicide, but had the advantage of also gaining PVP rank with most quests/kills.
Overall I enjoyed the game thoroughly, but stopped playing after my grades started slipping. Wasn't worth it to fuck myself in my senior year of college. Came back after graduation, but some people had moved on. Played with Trichocysts (sp?) and a few others. Primarily Ranger. Used to be able to jump shot your skills that were supposed to be standing still activations. Probably patched out.
Also played Gladiator on private servers and had a good time, but honestly have no idea how they are in PVP or really even instances since it was less populated and everyone solid to max level. Couldn't get into it with nobody to socialize/grind with.
Sorcerer was your standard glass Cannon. Spirit master was like a WOW warlock. Templar is a paladin. Standard stuff.
They added some solo instances later in the life of the game because of population drops which offered a tier lower loot to the standard instances. Others offered fun cosmetics or story lines.
I think one job for one toon is one of the non-"no world spawns" thing I've disliked in most other MMOs I've tried; it makes balance so much more important and makes guild construction harder. In XI, we could deal with several jobs being literally worthless (lolDRG) because they just didn't get admitted to an end game guild unless they leveled an in-demand (i.e. support/caster) job.
If you put the time in, there's a gearset at level 30ish that is pretty OP for like 10 levels. Can only get one piece per character, but can store them in account storage to move between. Just need to convert the pieces to the armor type you'll use on your main. Includes a full set of armor plus weapon. Increases attack speed, movement speed, etc. If you enhance it, it'll carry you for quite a while. I used it to solo elite areas as Ranger, and then used it as a Twink set for PVP on Assassin.
the 1 job per character was a main reason I could never really get into WoW
