Speaking of hamburger helper, I would totally eat Mac and cheese with some seasoned ground beef right now. At 8am.
Had to take a shit in a public bathroom since the pandemic started. Think it's safe for the country to reopen now.
This thing where professional athletes snub their professional event because they don't want to talk to the press is really weird and short sighted imo. Next time one of em wanna speak up I should just be like "shut up and play tennis".
Pay to sponsor me and watch me play tennis, but don't y'all dare try to talk to me before or afterwards about it. If it makes you anxious I understand, but that's also not an excuse to do the other half of your job. At a certain level, you're not just a great athlete, you're also selling the sport and brand (both the sports brand and your own). Get some press counseling like all the other big wigs get.

i'm just here so i don't get fined
but yes, professional sports are a television program no different than american idol or whatever is.
i'm just 'bout that action boss
Athletes are just now starting to get media training in college to learn how to talk to the press, and I think most major sports leagues have programs for that as well. Not sure if an individual sport like tennis has an equivalent but it would definitely help in Osaka’s case.
But at the same time like man if she just don’t wanna talk to people and accept the agreed upon fines that should be the end of it.
yeah
Both teams played hard.
maybe
I agree with this.
I mean, I get that it's televised, but speaking to the press vs. actually play a sport are two totally completely different things, I can't be that person that's like "THAT'S YOUR JOB."
I want the best players to play their best, not the almost best players because they know how to hold a conversation. Just seems like a weird critera.
And tbh, there's enough egotistical good sports players that have no issue being in the spotlight, so we don't have to be in fear they'll never talk.
But also, to be fair, I rarely watch those sports talk after events. It doesn't hold my interest as is. "WHY YOU LOSE." "THE BALL I WAS SUPPOSED TO RUN TO THE THING DID NOT COME TO ME SO I COULD RUN TO THE THING. NEXT TIME I CATCH BALL OK."
A guy on reddit has been tracking how often Ja Morant says "you know" during post game press conferences.
It's basically at youknowhatimsayin level with him averaging it every 2.5-3 seconds.
"WHAT GAME PLAN FOR NEXT GAME."
"NOT DO WHAT I DID THIS TIME THAT WAS BAD."
you know why i'm here
"HOW YOU WIN"
"I SCORE POINTS MORE"
I envision every after game talk as John Madden interviewing John Madden.
i cant think of any more marshawn interview phrases
