It made a pretty rude assumption about the size of Paul Reubens' penis.

So I’m watching like seven different tropical systems in the Atlantic right now and I’ve got a dumb idea. So what if several leading nations got together on a multi year project and constructed a large string of man-made islands in the middle of the Atlantic? Large enough to disrupt and weaken tropical systems before they gained too much force. Obviously it would be ridiculously expensive and take decades to build. And it would *constantly* be impacted by storms. But if they could be stopped before growing so powerful maybe it wouldn’t be so bad.
Not sure if serious, but those same storm systems would erode whatever was built there over generations until it was underwater again. Even if you could build a mountain there, it would take so long to move all that earth that next years storm system will fuck up whatever project you're currently working on. Gotta have the earth science shit happening underwater to support everything happening above the water.
This would make a great summer flick plot tho lol

Even those man made islands in dubai are sinking a couple inches every decade, and afaik they don't have hurricanes in dubai to speed up the process lol

yeah by the time maintaining a project on that scale becomes technologically/culturally feasible, we'd probably have figured out a better way to accomplish the same thing, like electromagnetic fields that can disrupt the air currents feeding the storm or some shit. Star Trek-level technology.
Like combating climate change and changing the way we build houses.
