The joys of being union. As I'm now 11+ years, I accrue 4 weeks of vacation a year, with a cap at 8 weeks, I accrue 12 days of sick leave a year, with a cap of 150 days. I get 4 floating holidays, all federal holidays paid off, and as I'm management class, I get 7 free manager days to use every year. So every January 1st, I have 11 days of leave I have to blow before I can even touch my vacation as floating and management days don't roll over, they are use it or lose it.
Here we are now mid july, I'm still sitting on 3+ weeks of sick leave after burning a week being laid up with a bad foot, 40 hours of management leave left, closing in on 200 hours of vacation, and I still have 8 hours of my essential worker covid leave left.
