There's been all that talk of the Postal Service going broke. I can tell you why. They're completely inefficient with logistics. There have been several instances where my wife or I have ordered something from MA or NJ and it'll go from there to say VA, back to CT, to Newburgh (across the river from us, to MA or NJ (Whichever it didn't come from), back to Albany, then finally down to our local post office. It could have gone from MA to Albany to the local post office without issue. What a waste.

Had a Marine vet at my job lose his shit to the point that M.Ps had to come and take his base access away to escort him off.

We honestly felt bad for him because dude clearly had something mental going on with him. Also relieved because imagine a dude like that bringing a gun to work.

I somehow just came across the Sopranos ending like the last 10 minutes and then him at the dinner with I'm assuming his family and I've never seen the show. I was watching The Wire and other clips on YouTube and ended up there. I don't get why people were upset about the cut to black. The man was murdered/shot. He was a gangster right and had enemies? He kept looking up when the bell would ring as the door opened and he'd see the people coming in. Then the dude that goes to the bathroom with the jacket was watching him before getting up. He got got.

it reminded me of when i was in grade 7 and i was supposed to create some big report on poets for english class and instead i scribbled some shitty poetry of my own on a nakpin and presented it to the class as a beatnik poet and the teacher gave me a b 'cause he thought it was unique but in reality i created it that same morning and just slapped a hat on to sell it

Then apparently Bobby again states in season 6 episode 17 states it probably all fades to black

The two black men in the diner look like the two guys that tried to kill him after he gets his orange juice.

The show looks interesting and I'll watch it but with all that foreshadowing weird people got upset at the ending. Doesn't seem like Dexter's OG ending which just out of pocket and terrible.

i've always read it as an intentional denial of audience expectations. David Chase was notoriously upset with the fanbase, the hits and tits crew that hated his dreaming and philosophizing, and especially hated the palpable, eager desire of the fanbase to see Tony killed

especially after he snuffs Chris, idk if you guys watched at the time but EVERYONE wanted to see Tony die after that. turned on him in an instant.

Chase hated that the fans were with Tony every step of the way, cheering him on and living vicariously through them through eight years of violent criminality, and he saw it as an ugly, debased bloodlust to turn on him at the end and demand to see his gory death on air as comeuppance.

but also it didn't particularly matter. Carlo was flipping, New York wasn't satiated, he was eating like shit again even after the stomach surgery, Melfi abandoned him and thereby his journey of self-improvement came to a crashing end. it was over for Tony. he had become the worst version of himself, an admixture of all that was wrong with both his mother and father, and his squalid empire had crumbled into the dirt with all his best guys dead or comatose or locked up. bullet-ridden corpse or not it was over.

reckon Chase refused to show the hit as one final fuck you to the fans he despised, and also because the man loved to operate in ambiguity, but it is also irrelevant to the story he was telling. Tony was a monster and his arc was over, but his life gave his kids entry into the American dream and completed the assimilation process his grandparents began.
