Almost got some tickets in Times Square because I'll be home for Christmas and right as I picked my seats, the website was like "Nevermind."

All the websites crashed like 2 seconds after they went on sale...i occasionally get close but get the "Nevermind" every time

Yeah the website for the one near me is shitting the bed.

It has 3 separate showings for the imax screen on the 16th, I assume one of those will still have seats come morning when things have calmed down.

It's also hilarious how much further these early release showings keep dipping, they have one at 345 PM.

Funny how we've gone from having to stay up for actual midnight releases to now where I'd have to leave work early to make the first showing.

MCU movies are pretty average and are starting to get even worse after 15 years of movies and continuous lore and different writers and directors they're contradicting themselves. At least in the comics you know it's a new run/universe/storyline.

They're still pretty good, but their focus is on world building now and not storytelling and it's starting to show with some of these movies.

The ride to Thanos and the snap was amazing and very enjoyable, but in hindsight it only felt that way after a few years of world building and the movies working up to that plot point. Going back and rewatching some of them has really opened my eyes to how mediocre almost all of them were.

Shang Chi almost had me sleeping at one point. Very meh. Didn't even watch Eternals and I don't feel bad about it; I'll catch it on Disney+ in a few months.

Fuck Ticketmaster gouging. Decided to go see Blue Man Group while I'm in Vegas and fucking 40 dollars in taxes and fee's on the ticket.

You pay less in fees if it's a resale ticket through ticketmaster, but for events like that those tickets are usually pricier anyways. That trick mostly works on sporting events
