Camping Rocks. Dem, I know you said you don't wanna, but legit should take your kid camping. If possible with another family who also has a kid/kids. IDK what they have over there, but here they have the Jellystone parks that have pretty legit shit for kids. If you all come to the US, you can look into it, as I know you tend to go to the East Coast, and there's still a lot of them there. Here's the one out here:

My husband hated camping as a kid, but now he fucking loves it because of the fun we have with our friends. My kids have a blast as they get to play with friends all day outside, and can like kick up dirt n' shit.

My mom is left-handed, which helped a lot when growing up. I kinda feel bad for my kids as they are both right-handed. Makes it confusing as fuck for me as I am no good at mirroring shit. I have to tell my husband to teach them how to hold a pen, chopsticks, etc, because it feels so awkward when I try it in my right. I am like one of those super super left-handed people. I can't do shit with my right.

I too am cross-dominant. It became the most obvious when I realized I can only shoot pistols right handed but also only shoot rifles/shotguns left handed.

You mentioned btw showers/bathrooms, since being an adult I have yet to go to a campsite that doesn’t have those. Most campsites are going to have public bathrooms with showers. It’s only if you go to severely remote areas which I would t recommend with a kid.
