I did Kings for literal years with a shell that monopolized the server. Khimaira, Tiamat, Fafhogg, KB, Cerberus, Ixion and Sandworm, sometimes we even did Jormungand and Hydra. Every single day, and I would estimate that over the years we were active we got around 75% of all spawns, which kept anyone else from getting them. I can honestly say I do not miss it and would never go back. Gred is completely unrelatable here.

I camp a 10 hour mob alone daily cuz no one else cares enough to camp the entire window (Khim/Cerb style of calling others out there after it pops, except there's no specific hourly spawn chance).

I made a character on the other faction to camp two other mobs every 6 hours because the good players on my faction won't camp it anymore -- basically all the good players got the Ridill equivalent and stopped because they are too lazy to camp just to deny other people. So now only the gimps on my faction go vs a geared guild from the other faction that camps to sell it to their faction's gimps.

It's not Fafhogg, but it's been better for me emotionally than years of therapy, drugs, and any other treatment you can think of.

New content always gets stale and boring when you repeat it enough. People need to embrace the fact that MMOs are skinner boxes; pressing the lever (doing content) will always be meaningless. It's the cheese (gear) that matters. We metagame how to get the most cheese, at the exclusion of other rats.

I think at this point I literally do not have the time to devote to laying the groundwork for a functional relationship unless she also played MMOs.

And if you just mean for FWB or ONS, I'd rather camp.

we were bad at claiming kings but had pretty good Tiamat/cerb/khimaira streaks here and there

even as someone with a really sporadic sleep schedule to this day, i absolutely do not miss camping them at all

there was one time we had like 8-9 straight khim claims at like 3am EST and even though we had more than a 50% haut drop rate on those claims in retrospect i don’t think i would wish that on my worst enemy, especially since some of those kills were less than 10 people in the alliance and came close to the 1hr rage mark

there was one where our only damage the first 30 minutes was bio DoT. I’m sure we’ve all been there
