One of the original plans for Virmire Survivor in ME3 ended up changing pretty heavily from what we got in game, but sounded like it could have been interesting.
In the opening scene on earth when Shepard initially reunited with the VS, they would also be introduced to a new character who was a SPECTRE senior agent that was already training Ashley/Kaidan to be the next human SPECTRE. When the VS is injured on Mars, the SPECTRE agent visits VS in the citadel hospital and expresses the same concerns that Shepard may have been compromised by Cerberus and things get contentious. Later on Eden Prime when Shepard goes to find Jaavik, the SPECTRE agent also arrives and mistakenly believes that Shepard is working with Cerberus to retrieve the Prothean. Shepard is forced to kill the SPECTRE agent that won’t back down. Kai Leng uses doctored footage of this to sew further distrust between the VS and Shepard, culminating in a standoff on Thessia where Shepard fights the VS in a boss battle instead of Kai Leng. Leng uses the distraction to steal the prothean VI and brings the temple down attempting to kill them all. Shepard is then forced into choosing to save the life of the VS or Liara, the other being killed by Leng.
Ultimately the writers (rightly) felt a vast majority of players would choose to save Liara anyway and the narrative impact wouldn’t be quite so grand, so the story was changed to what we got and ultimately the Jaavik character and missions became DLC even though everyone could clearly see he was meant to be part of the original game from the start.
liara was my babe
Jack best girl
you know that chick was doing some freaky shit on the Normandy
freaky space shit
Random thought I had today: Shakespeare would have found the poop emoji to be fucking hilarious.
Shakespeare would have written a play with a character named Smoopejomi just to make rhymes with it.

On this day one year one ago The Bodega Boys released their last episode of the art. RIP to one of the greatest NYC duos to ever do it.
Amen.
Do alot of military veterans play COD or other FPS games? And why? Is it therapeutic or would it cause PTSD?
my three buddies in the military all play shooter vidya, but they also did before they were in the service so
military culture is big on shooters, huge demographic overlap on young competitive testosteroney males who like blowing shit up.
as for PTSD/therapy imagine it's so far removed from actual combat that it serves as silly escapism like for anyone else. plus the vast vast majority of vets have never shot at anyone, there's nothing of their service experience in a videogame.
Finna snap.
I do not play COD or FPS but I am not a combat veteran (although in reality that I was never in a position where I would have to enter naval combat).
Most of the guys I know also didn't hit FPSs that hard either. Probably see it more than likely with Army guys and Marines since they're more likely to see combat but to be perfectly fucking honest? Even most marine and army guys I know didn't mess with it. All anecdotal though so take what I say with a grain of Adobo.
Double post but I just had an absolute Murphy's Law type of day and I just want to go home and sleep.
