Everyone likes to roast Texas for having a shitty power grid because it's a republican controlled state but California is just as bad. Rolling blackouts during fire season are just an accepted fact of life because PG&Es garbage ass system is constantly starting forest fires.

I remember the rolling brown outs due to the energy crisis caused by Enron's collapse. Got a paid half day out of work from it. Luckily my grandmothers house who I lived with was close enough to a hospital that it never lost power.

They did give warning, but stupidly I thought it was tomorrow.
