We have the panels, but I said no to a battery. I don’t see a need. But I grew up in CT when you could lose power for like 3 days, and we managed.
The other thing is, my car upgrade is going to be the vw van, that can be used as a battery, so might as well wait.
Truck has been awesome btw. I think my husband getting worn out as he can’t go a week without someone stopping him and asking him questions about it.
We were in a parade (Girl Scouts) and had people shouting to us asking what it was. XD
GS won for their category. Lol!
Just got power back. Was actually glad my friends came as the kids were able to play all day. And we just drank and talked lol.
I know for a fact Florida's power system is fucked up because I worked for law firm suing Florida Power & Electric for getting the Florida state legislature to approve millions and millions of dollars in increased bills for customers in order to "hurricane-proof" utilities for the state and then proceed to not do that and keep the money, with predictable results every single time there's a hurricane

So like every single ISP in the US.
PG&E keeps getting sued for killing people with forest fires and afaik they just keep raising their rates to cover the bills without ever trying to actually improve their infrastructure
What I'm hearing is that private control of utilities was a mistake.

At least I don't have to worry about getting my power turned off being on the same grid as a Costco and Graton Casino
No you don't need it, but it certainly doesn't hurt. We also get paid a pittance for exporting power, as such using the grid as a battery is pointless.
There are two energy rates here, peak and off peak. Whenever the panels are generating more than we can use, it goes to the battery. Whenever the panels aren't generating it comes out of the battery. If the battery is not fully charged it does so at off peak hours (11:30pm to 5:30am). We also get a bonus for using less electricity between 4:30pm and 6:30pm.
Shit was absolutely a no brainer for us.
This sucks for everyone, but the power lines near me are all underground and as such I don't worry much about power outages in my neck of the woods lol. If my power goes out it's cause most of the town did, and that's super rare cause most of the important lines (that service me) really are mostly hurricane proof.

I have this clearly wealthy Asian woman DMing me on Instagram about a restaurant I posted and I'm trying to understand what the aim of the conversation is or an attempted scam.
she hot tho?
I thought you were in Petaluma for some reason, but considering how close Rohnert Park is might be all the same.
Speaking of Graton apparently there was some fatal accident at the entrance on Gokd Course Drive I just saw..Mercedes vs pickup. One guess who won..

If those are her pictures, she's built like an ironing board so I wouldn't be interested anyway. Humoring it because it's quite involved compared to what I'm used to so I'm giving away a bunch of false info to see how far this goes. She doesn't have the typical scam red flags so brought my curiosity up. Or sometimes I'm too nice of a guy.
I have a different pretty asian woman (scam) DMing me on twitter about once a week.
Oh it's hilarious to watch and my bf tends to get those all the time and leads them on for weeks sometimes. Some of them are really dedicated but will slip up eventually.
I mean being a nice guy isn't all bad, just don't confuse nice with being gullible and you'll be fine

i still never figured out what the angle of this one girl was who messaged me randomly, never met me, didn't know my name or anything and spent 4yrs+ messaging me trying to get me to fuck. my best guess is it was a gay guy using pics of his female friend trying to get me to come over
Yeah it's a scam. Lol
