The caravan ambush scene is right up there with the most gripping action sequences ever filmed imo

His sons being involved, the inaccuracy of the muskets and long reload times, being wildly outnumbered - if anything goes wrong you're looking at the annihilation of his bloodline. The stakes are incredible.

I think that’s the scene that most often gets praise but I love the scene where Heath Ledger and Odo attack the camp, Odo has a chance to make the kill shot but opts to save Ledger instead, takes a bullet to the chest for his troubles but yeets his musket to Ledger to make the shot. The cinematography and score in that scene is gripping. But Ledger falls to the zombie movie trope and fails to double tap and it costs him.

a few years ago Microsoft word or some other program’s spell/grammar check started highlighting two spaces after a period as an error.

years ago when i started teaching someone explained to me why it used to be two spaces but i don’t remember

Typewriters needed the extra space in order to guarantee enough space between characters since the wasn't a space bar at the time that gave enough space.

Dictation software still places two spaces after a period.
