Think I caused some damage on the bottom of the rental car I was loaned and hoping to the heavens they don't notice it before they rent it out again. Tbh it's hard to notice unless they really look at the bottom and the guys working there seemed like they hated life so there's a chance.

I fully scratched the shit out of a door at a rental car and they didn't notice or charge me. It wouldn't have mattered because I have credit card insurance on my rentals to cover since I rent frequently for work, but yeah they don't give a shit

I really tried to like BOTW but the weapon degradation and lack of traditional Zelda dungeons/tools killed it for me. I got as far as completing two of the main “dungeons” for lack of a better term and several of the shrines which seemed to be varying levels of “how much do you understand this gimmick and motion controls” and found them to be mildly entertaining but ultimately not what I was wanting from a Zelda game.

All that to say everyone is hyping tears of the kingdom and I’m so conflicted about A) letting myself believe the hype and B) if I do decide to play it the completionist in me won’t let me go forward without going back to finish BOTW first

I had the opposite experience once. I had a rental for a long weekend and went to return it. During initial inspection they NEVER got on their knees and inspected underneath , but when I returned it they did like physically looking for things. They claimed something was damaged and I stood my ground that it was never inspected prior so no way to confirm it was me. They gave the whole " Well we will see.." , never heard a thing.

So basically if they didn't inspect it in detail beforehand , play the oblivious card. People abuse the shit out of rentals as is and hard to put it on one person aside from very obvious cosmetic damage usually.
