I think it’s a side effect of too much money and too little smarts. I’ve worked with tons of Chinese people and they’re generally great. The nouveau riche party people are what I’m on about. We had a group project for a marketing class and homie did precisely nothing the whole time. No emails, no texts, no work on the collab file. We all snitched on his 4 English word having ass and yet he got a B+ on the project. Where is the money gun gif….

In college I had a group project where it was me and this girl and one black dude. Me and the girl did everything, tried to contact the black dude by email, calls/texts, even MySpace messages (2005ish) and he never responded. The day we had to present to the class this dude showed up and read verbatim off our PowerPoint presentation with a million percent confidence. This was the first and only time we ever saw him. When the presentation ended he said ‘PRECIATE Y’ALL and dabbed us up and we never saw him again. Got a B+

Group projects is the only reason I didn't fail English my freshman year. Teacher got pissed I came to school sick due to having multiple tests, and fell asleep watching Scarlet Letter even though I hate read that entire fucking book, and if I ever have to read it or watch the movie again, it will be too fucking soon.

Watched him grade one of my papers after and didn't even look at it, just wrote F on it. Only shit I didn't fail were scantron tests and group projects. Anything written by hand or typed out on computer he just auto failed. Pissed me the fuck off.

think i already told the story of the only B i got in undergrad was a class where the final exam was a group project where you had to set up stage design, costumes, etc for a scene of a Shakespeare play

all the other groups showed up with video presentations, live presentations, full length costumes etc

my group decided to show up with a little cardboard box diorama like we were kindergartners (which was not my idea btw)

I got some B’s in my English classes in college. Two in particular were:

Shakespeare: Killed me to no end, as I find reading it as easy as the Cat in the Hat and had at that point read the completed works cover to cover. I have a shit memory, though, and this prof I swear to God. I remember we were doing Romeo and Juliet and on the test it asked to list every plant the Friar says in his intro monologue and what each of them represents. This was something we never discussed in class. And while I can explain in general terms how the speech is about life and death and healing and poison, but we never discussed it in class, so I didn’t think to have them memorized. After that, I would meet with him and the TA to get notes, but I quickly learned whatever notes we took were not going to be on the test.

Milton: This also had unrealistic memory shit. We would read like 30 pages of Paradise Lost and others for each class and the way the dude tested us to see if we read it would be to give us 1-3 paragraphs of a random page with blanked out words. We’d have to fill in the blanks with the words that were there.

if you have a bad memory you would not like my shakespeare class tests

he would give you a random quote from a play (usually a famous quote, but sometimes not), and you had to identify the play, who said it, who they were speaking to if applicable, a general interpretation of the quote, and also what act and scene the quote was from. sometimes he omitted important words and you had to fill them in also

i have a good memory for stuff like that so after i had him for one class i took like 5 more classes with him for easy As. i think my lowest grade on any of his tests might have been a b+, i had a few scores over 100

because good artists borrow but great artists steal, the two semesters i taught shakespeare i had the same format test except i did not ask for act and scene because im not that terrible

plus i chose pretty easy/famous quotes to not be a dick

Tbh maybe now that I’m older and have more maturity and drive I could handle it better, but 19 year old me? Nah.


I’m an excellent essay test taker, though. That admin cred I got required you to take a test or a two year course. Test has two parts. Something like 75% of people pass one part on the first try and 12% pass the second part on the first try. I passed both on the first try.

I know people who have taken in like 6 times and still haven’t passed. So I guess that’s my strength.
