I can't be the only person to travel for good food.

Local pizza spot I discovered about two years ago called Pizza Leah is about 1.5 hours away typically but was in the area still so went to pickup one of each as they were doing a Detroit Wednesday special. Something they started two weeks ago.

This week though they are also got their dough from another local shop called
Psychic Pie, which specializes in sourdough crust pizzas. Man these were both amazing.
Air fryer literally crisped it up perfectly in minutes.

My vacation type is very lazy and food is one of the things I like to try enjoy. I won't make a special trip farther than an hour for something but I'll go out of my way for a special experience while I'm in the general vicinity already

I actually lived outside Deteoit for almost 6 years and never had pizza like this.
But it was fantastic. So many great local pizza shops in the Sonoma County area so can always fill that craving depending on style of pizza we want.

That's an excellent way to vacation.
Heading up the coast to Seattle for a road trip this week with my bf and randomly found this great Puerto Rican hole in the wall spot by one of the hotels we are staying in. As in food I grew up on so that's one spot down.

Few things better than meat sweats from excellent cuts.

My bf was the one to introduce me to Brazilian Steakhouses. Took me to one in Napa about 3 or 4 years ago. Service was awesome and meats were incredible, full salad/soup bar with charcuterie as well.
Best Flan I've ever had as well and it's my favorite dessert in life.

Are you near West Covina? There's a Brazilian BBQ there that's pretty good called Rio Picanha (used to be Greenfield) if you want to save yourself the drive

Ksan's in the SCV so I figured Oxnard was the closest Texas de Brazil. Driving out to Rancho Cuca-whatever sounds terrible.

There used to be a Brazilian place in the Universal City boardwalk but it's pretty overpriced given the fact it's in the center of a tourist trap. I think that WC might still be closer than Oxnard though
