People that have kids to pass down their legacy are confusing legacy and lineage. Like you're broke and ain't made any significant change in the world or your community, what legacy is there to pass down peasant? It also puts an enormous amount of hypothetical pressure on people to fulfill your dreams and rectify your failures. Also what if your kids turn out to be the worst, that's your legacy now? What if you raise a Brock Turner or Sneako?!

People with legacies i.e. The MJs, Bill Gates, etc. The average person couldn't name those people's parents or kids.
