Show is real good. Ironically it became very believable following the Trump years.

First two seasons are excellent, but I am starting to feel the drag of “We’re extending this arc too long with no resolution” issue.

A lot of this shit is so good, though. Definitely written well as a reflection of our society:

comic is terrible, show is great, verr funny and solid social critique with some mint characters and performances (Anthony Starr's Homelander is up there with Ledger's Jonkler and Jackman's Logan as best ever superhero actin).

agree with Ksan tho, seasons go 2 > 1 > 3. believe showrunner said they'll end after 5 tho so pacing should be alright when it's said and done.

I love Garth Ennis but the Boys comic clearly shows that the man needs an good editor to reign him in.

Excessive violence and toilet humor are big parts of his writing style and that's never gonna change, but comparing his work on Punisher or Preacher vs the Boys is just night and day.

I like his 2000 AD work because it works for Judge Dredd's universe (which I maintain most people don't "get"). I can tolerate his Constantine stuff. Preacher is insufferable and not helped by Dillon's art (which I dislike lots). I really fucking dislike everything else I've read from him.
