I was giving general guidelines for movies that would avoid such criticism. Milkster has identified two possible types of films that fit this criteria.

There's an argument to be made that not showing nudity can detract from the message or art of the film. I, however disagree with that sentiment. You CAN tell the same story, you CAN impart the same emotions WITHOUT the nudity. All coming of age, sexuality, displays of abuse and scars CAN be inferred or outright provided without the display.

An abuse victim is tortured and scarred yet no one believes them because the abuser is charismatic and the light they're cast in makes them seem like the good person and the abuse victim has become a drug addict and embraced other self destructive behaviors to cope. They get nude to show off all the scars over their body to show evidence of what they went through and what they have to see everyday when they wake up as a reminder.
