Like I said the ability to skirt responsibilities. Some anecdotes, it's a common insult thrown to demean women who deviate from oppressive heteronormative standards. Some, almost 5x as many kids are in single parent households with only a mother. Not to mention the men who do stay abuse the family.

Went on a hike. Ran into these two women. One from the U.K one from SA (South Africa). SA woman is gorgeous.

Walked with them for a bit while talking to other trail heads along the way. British woman clearly married but she keeps intercepting my attempts to talk to SA woman even though she's making attempts to talk to me. Mid-way, SA woman asks to take a photo together. We all do. Get to the end of the trail, ask for socials. Both tell me they don't use them. I'm cool with it and move on. Didn't really want the married woman's anyway.

However the fact that homegirl took my photo kinda has me feeling a certain type of way about it. Overall shit doesn't matter at all and I'm not owed anything but they honestly seemed pretty cool so it was kinda bittersweet for me.
