Sorry I'm still stuck on "wine snobs are the worst" followed by "natural wines suck".

i'm not a wine snob, i hate that kind of wine. there's no implied mastery in my statement. on the other hand all the wine snobs i know fellate natural wine as god's gift to fermented grapes.
i do not prefer my wine to taste like sour farts. that's my bad.
Usually every Friday after work a bunch of us go to one of the local breweries (there's A LOT in Sonoma County) for a few drinks and it's always like 90% IPAs.
Fucking awful, just gimme a goddamn pilsner/stout or even gose.
Looking at the brewery around the corner from my place their current offerings are 1 pils, 1 blonde ale, 1 red ale, 7 IPA, 2 brown ale, 3 sours.
I agree on sour beers and kombucha. I don't know shit about weed, but I also agree on wine snobbery. Garbage wine exists at every tier, and good wine also exists at every tier. There was a point where IPAs were fine, good even, but then the trend became "how much hops can we fit in here," which is a decidedly garbage way to make beer.
I'm big on stouts, and I'm fucking sick and tied of everyone pointing north of sensible abv/proof then trying to hide the taste of alcohol behind sweetness/chocolate.
There IS something to be said about natural wine, but every one I've tried has absolutely not been for me. I keep trying them just in case I run into a goated one that makes me go, YEEEEES!
strong beer and good beer are in a venn diagram with a tiny tiny overlap.
gimme 5% so i can drink more than 2.
i keep trying natural wines because the people i go to dinner with order it and i'm not gonna be a baybay but i also have yet to find one that is even palatable.
Wine can be good or bad and it's very hard to tell in advance without trying it (but ~all Riojas are good)
The best beer by far (dopplebock) is almost never sold at bars which is a disgrace, and instead they sell the worst beers (pale ales)

I'm in Sonoma County/Santa Rosa every weekend at the breweries usually hitting up Cooperage , Iron Ox , Parliament , Old Caz, Fogbelt , Henhouse on occasion and you're not wrong.
I can agree that the saturation of IPA's in the area is overwhelming. I will say when some Gose are released they tend to go fast.
I typically follow a lot of them on Instagram to follow new releases and food trucks lead me to new spots lol.

IPA's helped me realize I didn't really like hanging with hipsters that much.
I don't need my tongue to curl every time I take a sip.
