In an era with Tetris Attack and F Zero Online on Switch I’m surprised Nintendo hasn’t made a battle royale or boss rush competitive mode exactly like this

It's always the little things on some PC ports that confuse me.

Tekken 8 clearly has some issue with compiling shaders, because after playing the game well into the point where it shouldn't be an issue, there are certain moves that will always make the game stutter no matter what. And frame stutters should be an absolutely non starter for any fighting game, but here we are

This one is for once not a jp thing but a massive sticking point in unreal 5 that devs don't give a shit about mitigating.

Tekken 8 actually does precompile shaders on launch, but for whatever reason it doesn't do some of the ones related to effects and also doesn't save the shader it's already cached, so it stutters everytime on the same couple moves.

i will say Japan has gotten better about their ports from the days they were steaming piles of shit a la Chrono Trigger or NieR Automata, some like Monster Hunter and FFVII Remake are even quite good, but Western ports still consistently better. stuff like God of War, Horizon, Uncharted, Spider-Man, best possible way to play em is PC these days.
