To be fair, the accomplishments of the previous generations weren't made by those boomers in particular.

The chaff is always trash in an absolute sense, but the quality of the chaff is somehow slipping and we don't seem to have too many exemplars to compensate.

Every day we find new ways to drag down the standards at our school. We had a student last week who couldn't pass the written CPR test because he barely speaks English and apparently we just went with "eh fuck it his next unit will figure it out"

I have a 5th grader transfer in 2 months before the end of school, reading at a Kindergarten level, who left his last school cause he put hands on the staff, but we're gonna pass him to 6th cause why would we subject ourselves to this kid for a full year when his own parents don't care enough to make their own child literate? No, he didn't pass the mandatory state assessment or any of the alternative testing for promotion.

This whole education thing doesn't work if the educators care more than the child and their family. It just drags everyone else in the class down cause now someone has to deal with this presence in the room when that time could be spent on something or someone more productive.

The quality of the chaff is significantly improved relative to GenX/Boomer chaff that was extremely lead poisoned.

This i can jive with because a language barrier does not mean an individual does not understand the content. If he can practically do everything correctly, he should pass even if his writing isn't up to standard.

I keep a computer loaded with a bunch of games in the back of my classroom for students to play on breaks. They can beat me at smash bros but they're all cooked when it comes to Tekken/Street Fighter/Soul Calibur/Virtua Fighter/KOF/Bloody Roar.
