Wifey and I have narrowed down our expat destination in DR between the Las Terrenas or Juan Dolio towns.

I’d rather stay close to family in Santo Domingo so my vote is Juan Dolio, but wifey likes what she’s reading from expat communities in Las Terrenas and she barely Espanol. So that’s probably the more desirable location. Plus I also have to take little man and the unborn princess into consideration.

Yeah they just hosted their first “major” live event this past weekend with a CPT qualifier in Santo Domingo with Yipes commentating. Damn near brought a tear to my eye.

Finally got around to watching the Garfield movie. He was hands down my favorite Sunday comic. I had all the books, watched the show, etc. and all. I don’t think anyone cares about Garfield spoilers, but just in case:

Animation was absolutely perfect. I can’t imagine a 3-D Garfield being animated any other way. But that’s the most exciting thing. The plot was so weird, and my husband help me figure out why. They had to create a bad guy. We were discussing how stuff like the Snoopy cartoons had conflict, but not like an evil baddy. They could have gone on an adventure to get Nermal back from Abudabi or something. The new characters just seemed so weird and out of place, and it made it not feel like an actual Garfield movie. And now I wonder if any modern day kids movies exist where there is t some major dr. Evil type villain in it.

Too much intense thoughts over a cartoon, but there it is.
