I am 3/4ths of the way finished with the book I've been writing. Wrapped up part 3 of 4 two weeks ago, starting the last stretch now.

It's already 110k+ words and will probably end in the 140k realm so most likely it will need to be split into 2 books which will be a whole other round of writing but I will be good with that. I've never started writing a book and gotten the whole way through before and now I'm staring at that finish line.

It’s funny that one of my great grandparents who came from Ireland must have had a thick accent, as she has a different name (Anna, Johnna, Ellen) on every US census card.

Also it was kinda sweet. Other people have pictures of my mother’s family she never saw before, including her parents. So was a nice way to spend Xmas. Especially since all her known family is gone accept her brother (who’s on his way out) and obv. Her two kids n’ fams.

So I think it was nice to see there’s a lot of family out there even if she doesn’t know them.
