So I have this inkling feeling that VA disability benefits are in danger of being cut. Part of that is the lack of accountants to review all of the accounting paperwork in a timely manner such that some fucktwit that Trump appoints is going to do something stupid then say "where the hell is all the money going"

Why is this? This is how long it took to review the accounting for my dad.
2022: 3 weeks
2023: 2 months (PACT Act passed in August 2022 right after my dad's accounting period closed)
2024: 5 months and counting

Benefit of the doubt - the customer rep back in October at Salt Lake City Intake center said that most of the vets that applied for disability from the PACT act were in the west coast region and their intake center. They never got additional personnel to absorb it.
