I get up at 5:30 now because I'm a psycho but on days I'm not doing gym stuff I lay on the floor with my doggo and read for like 90 minutes with my coffee unless I have a client call from the EU or something. Sometimes I'll vidya but it's rare now. My dog gets absolutely wound UP when I lay down with my book and then passes out upside down. It's the best.
I wake up just before 4am. Coffee + Breakfast. Out the door before 5am. 7 minute commute.
And I continually avoid the drama at work since supervisors show up 3-4 hours into my shift.
I've been waking up at 6 or 6:30, eventually when I can move to a place with better Metro access I won't have to commute in - can be anywhere from 25 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. This morning was a little easier so I'm easing back into it.

The one and only gauge of success I've held to for a long time is being in a position where no one can tell you when to wake up in the morning, and I still intend to get there in the next 5 years.

The Lilo & Stitch live action actually looks really good lol
people give them a lot of shit and some have been awful but several of the live action remakes have been p good. wouldn't be surprised
Beauty and the Beast & Aladdin were both pretty good.
Lion King was a fucking abomination tho
Too bad she's probably a teenager by now because Angelica Hale from America's Got Talent would have been spot on for Lilo if they'd done this a few years back.
I love that they kept the same Stitch voice and apparently the Elvis soundtrack. Would have felt so off without them.
I think people are just unable to be nuanced. I've consistently seen people call "good" shit dogshit because "great" shit exists. I watched The Lion King and Jungle Book with my kids. I prefer the animated Lion King by a million miles, but the live one wasn't bad. I also think the live action Jungle Book was straight up better that the original animated one.
I’m running on like maybe four hours of sleep the past two days lol. Wifey has been sidelined with the flu and obviously the newborn doesn’t care. Meanwhile our six year old is demanding to play outside.
God damn I have a newfound respect for my mom. How she did this as a single parent with three kids while working multiple jobs is nothing short of incredible.
Love and chanclas solve many problems.
I tend to like the animated ones much better, but I am able to recognize that those are what I grew up on, so obviously I am naturally going to be biased towards them. I feel like the live actions are for newer generations of Disney fans, and that is definitely ok in my book.
With that being said, watching some of the original animated ones, and they are straight up awkward by today's standards. Watch sleeping beauty and watch the prince. Like, seriously pay attention to him. He has like 5 words in the whole movie. Even there's a scene where the fairies rescue him, and tell him to go get Aurora. He. Says. Nothing. Just stares at them and runs. No thank you, no nothing.
I do think I will find whatever they do to Robin Hood (if they even ever bother) will be....interesting...to say the list. I wish they would give that some more love tbh. It was my favorite of the "classic" Disney animated films.
If the live action Robin Hood isn't real people in fursuits they're cowards.
It's weird how quiet or secretive people are using stalls in public restrooms. Almost like they're ashamed they have to poop. Like dudes will flush then freeze if you're in there as well
