Lizard brain. Animals that have to stay stationary to evacuate their bowels are at their most vulnerable during that period. It's so well engrained that even toddlers will sometimes find a hidden place to quietly shit in their diapers.

I think people are just unable to be nuanced. I've consistently seen people call "good" shit dogshit because "great" shit exists. I watched The Lion King and Jungle Book with my kids. I prefer the animated Lion King by a million miles, but the live one wasn't bad. I also think the live action Jungle Book was straight up better that the original animated one.

Jungle Book was probably one of the best live actions they did. Enjoyed Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella as well, but haven't watched any of the others.

Batman leaves Joker in the hands of the law. New Jersey does not have the death penalty. I read comic books for escapism. White billionaires deciding who lives and who dies is already the reality I live in.

Blame the New Jersey state assembly and governor for not changing the laws, or the feds for never trying Joker at the federal level. Or James Gordon, or any other officer of the law in Gotham who has never shot the Joker in the line of duty.
