I can absolutely see how this game supposedly takes 130 hours+ considering I'm still getting tutorials at 25 hours in, but so far it's so damn good

(God awful performance aside, but that's the Unity + Owlcar special)
Rogue Trader is the tits but i'm waiting for Lex Imperialis DLC to drop for a full playthrough. Owlcat games are nuts as they drop an 80 hour base game then stack on 30 hours of DLC by the time they're through.

Stuck wondering if the time invested into building a new board would be better invested into a steam deck.

My problem is I wouldn't even know where to start, both equipment and price. Last time I built a PC I was a single 20something year old private living in the barracks lol. So I'm willing to pay the lazy tax for a prebuilt.

This one is a pretty solid deal, at the upper end of your price range

Not really wasting any money on stuff you don't need and that CPU will likely be a good option for years to come

Nice! Hopefully it's still in stock by the end of the week when I get a chance to head up there.

I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

Bonus - the Microcenter Powerspec PCs have no bloatware on it.

    It's a $100 diff between the G753 (AMD RX 9700 XT) vs G752 (5070 Ti).

Performance wise they will be neck and neck with Nvidia slightly ahead - 6% according to Gamers Nexus.

Yeah, if going the prebuilt, can't really beat the powerspec pc's from Micro Center. no bloatware as Synistar said, and unlike when I worked at Fry's and they sold their own brand PC's, they aren't using bottom of the barrel parts for it. I still have PTSD from having to use ECS brand motherboards for any and all repairs.

I'm sort of amazed you guys don't just cycle parts. I haven't built a "new" computer since like 2006ish? The most I've ever done is buy 3 parts at once, mobo, cpu, ram. Most times it's two. Last one was mobo and cpu about a year and a half ago, next one's gonna be GPU and PSU within the next year or two.

I take it back, last one was an SSD to cycle out an ancient 500GB one.

I travel for work a lot so I stick to laptops. I'll re-use ram and SSDs if I can tho over the cheap OEM ones usually put in there.

If I get a new mobo, I get mostly new everything except vcard and storage. Then the following upgrade is vcard, rinse and repeat.

I do cycle parts, I just haven't done it since like 2020.

I just work my computer to the point of everything being obsolete. I went I think 9 or 10 years between builds. Went from an I5 4690, with 8gb ram, a 256gb SATA SSD, and ATI Radeon R290A graphics card to a Ryzen 5900x, 32gb Ram, 2x 2TB NVME (got a second as I had to RMA my first due to Samsung Firmware bug and didn't want to be down a computer for a couple of weeks), and a 3080TI.

Only thing I kept out of my old computer was a 2TB SATA drive I had for storage so I could get stuff off of it, and I've now had to retire it as it's started to click and slow down.

Jerry Stiller was not cast as Frank Costanza on Seinfeld until season five. A completely different actor played George’s father in all appearances for the first four seasons. This is my new Mandela Effect moment.
