Rural two lane road. No street lights. Pitch black. You have about a tenth of a second to hit the brakes if there is anything in your path. Suddenly your headlights light up a person right on the side of the road. Standing completely still with a blank look on their face. They don't even flinch as you pass by.

This was a couple hours ago less than half a mile from my house.

And 50/50 it's either:
You go back to help, and do a good deed for someone in trouble
You go back to help, and are now target of some dread horror that will haunt your scant remaining days of terror.

So she's a platonic friend who's been through an incredibly tumultuous life event and she's under the impression her friend of many years just wants to have an outing with her. But surprise! A man just wants to fuck and was waiting in the wings for the opportunity.
