I wouldn't dare stoke that fire if were a site wide email (500+ FTEs/contractors). And corporate and all director level admin assistants know better to BCC everyone in official emails (100k global employees)

My first name is five syllables. Americans couldn't deal with it. The diminutive is two syllables. Americans still had trouble. So I started going by a single syllable that matches an ultra generic diminutive of a completely different Anglo-Saxon-Norman name. One that is pronounced the same way.

every year one of the adjunct emails goes out where someone ends up replying all to every single adjunct in every department. iirc one was 600+ people being told someone was angry about their class assignments
