Which holiday would you think is better then?

Honestly, I'm not sure I can answer without coming off as extremely cynical or jaded.

Both used to be top tier for me as my Nana, and later my father when my Nana got too old to handle the cooking would basically put on a feast. Christmas got the nod though as it was also the one time of the year I got to enjoy Yorkshire pudding as my dad, my asshole brother, and I were the only ones who liked it.

This thanksgiving was me getting lunch at McDonald's and going to a movie as my Stepmother was out of state visiting family, Step siblings were with their dad, and Astylla was out doing her own thing as we really aren't together anymore without going too into the weeds on that.

Christmas I'm probably going to be stuck on the couch unless I'm cleared to drive 1 week after having disk replacement surgery, in which case I'll probably be doing the same thing again. Almost all my friends are either out of state or out of country, so holidays as a whole are just another day, only I'm paid to sit on my ass.

Though thanks to therapy and adderall, at least I'm not so depressed I lay in bed or drink the pain away now and learned to function with/suppress it.

I did, but may not have been clear. To me it was better as it gave us the one food indulgent we'd have per year since the three of us were the only ones who liked it.

As a kid, it was also somehow the only holiday my cunt of a mother wouldn't go full Karen and act like a normal human being as well.

Seen her lose her shit at people at every other holiday but that one.
