Like Storm's control of the weather is absolute. Bobby's control of temperature is absolute. That doesn't make every Omega mutant a planet buster like Phoenix.

Phoenix/Jean Grey is Omega level though, her and Iceman were the first two characters to get the designation.

Omega level Mutants definitely have different scales amongst themselves. Like a absolute control over temperature is a lot different from boundless ability to warp reality. I will also never accept that Franklin Richards isn't a mutant.

Also Jean is an Omega-level telekenetic so she could theoretically move a planet if she had to, but she's still got a human body and the effort would kill her. She's only able to do the stuff she does because she's got the Phoenix force, a separate thing from her powers.

Franklin can apparently just choose to be whatever the fuck he wants. Born a mutant, used his powers to delete his x-gene while keeping his powers. Etc etc.

They should of paid her what she wanted and let her have the reduced role. Her arc was pretty complete anyways, we just needed a conclusion to the overall story of ds9 at that point.

I'm doing some looking back now and apparently Teen Jean said she was an omega telekenetic with her telepathy limited to turning people gay, but in Krakoa Hickman listed her as an omega telepath, I assume to differentiate between her and Exodus.

Morrison had her doing insane TK feats during his entire run but I guess telepathy was the last word on the matter since she was dead almost the entire time between New X-Men and HoX/PoX.

Technically no, she is the phoenix force and the phoenix force is Jean Grey. The phoenix force is her and her power.
