Lift weights. Strength training =/= hypertrophy training. Also you are significantly overestimating the amount of PURE lean muscle tissue you'll be able to put on. As you just said you're about to go through menopause and won't have the hormonal capacity to facilitate significant muscle growth.

Yeah, it’s a nice thought but my first kid will be college age in 4 years. I really cannot justify it.

Reality is, no matter the weight it doesn’t change how I look. The exercise is just to keep it off.

many such cases. very sad. too many girls think if they start lifting they will turn into the hulk overnight and think off-season cbum is a dadbod. IG fitness girls may be a blight in their own way at this point but the good they have done for showing younger girls the benefits and reality of lifting has been fantastic and a net positive.

Men and women significantly overestimate the body's ability to create lean tissue. And they overestimate the quality of their training, effort and recovery. It's a funny bubble to bust when you show them all the holes and they start throwing every excuse out at you. It's why so many dudes scream everyone that looks better than them is on gear. Going on social media and websites and seeing any good physique or transformation post I already know the comments are a battlefield of people feeling insecure and guilty lashing out at the poster.

Yeah women are doing much better in the fitness world than men. Its been an interesting flip. Women giving their all and not giving excuses about why they cant achieve their goals and calling out all the BS has been great. There is the random trad wife propaganda or homophobia and transphobia they spew though.

I just found $60 lying on the ground by a food truck. A woman was walking by and said "you should give me $20," and I was like "take it, it ain't mine," then I gave the other $20 to a homeless guy by Starbucks and kept the third for myself.

I hung around for a few minutes to see if anyone would run up looking for it, I'm wondering if it blew out of the food truck somehow because that's a lot of money to just not see fall out of your pocket.
