Nintendo should bring back that little robot.

There should be a stand alone film with Peter Stormare as Lucifer. I’d watch the shit out of that movie.
Do you get a belly flop if you fall through a heavy cloud?

I don't know if we've ever been made aware that a current age is going to end instead of pinpointing the dates retroactively, but the Golden Age of Gaming will end on January 1st, 2028.

I still say the PS1, PS2, Nintendo64, Gameboy, etc. was the Golden Age. Games were all on a disc or cartridge, no account needed, no internet.
I'm getting a lot of use out of my switch, which I can't connect to the internet because it's jailbroken

While always online shit or the general toxicity associated with a lot of online gaming sucks, online play has been a massive boon for gaming in general.
you could probably make the case that the old school console gaming listed above was the golden age of gaming because it predated online gaming, which led to cheating and harassment
i posted that just as krandor was posting, let’s fight
to expand
the golden age was around n64/ps1 times. this led to the expansion of 4 controllers being able to be used on consoles, allowing gaming the be more of a community activity than before. helps we had games like goldeneye/wrestling games as well. really introduced the 3d version of games as well which was groundbreaking at the time
this was all ruined by the expansion of online gaming shortly after, because at that point if i was getting beat in an online game by some cheating kid in Azerbaijan i could tell him i fucked his mom last night
As someone who does 90% offline games and 10% online, golden age of gaming is wherever there are good games and we still got them.
Golden age of physical media, sure I would agree with Zealot's sentiment.
More games of more genres made available to a wider audience with more being of surpassing quality at every level from the most niche indy to the biggest AAA. It's Ratatouille times when anyone can be a gamer and a great game can come from anywhere. The death of resale is going to start killing off that first part, and the death of ownership will slowly begin incentivizing the enshitification of the second.
