I like MMOs more as an online 3rd place. Actually playing MMOs makes me realize the gameplay isnt very exciting or stimulating, and if I wanted to "game" there's countless better ones out there. I think this is highlighted whenever i play one and quickly get bored unless I'm conversing with someone.

I also manage social pages for my work, and despite what META may say, their algorithms are totally linked. And I don’t want other coworkers who also have access to work socials seeing it. Also, believe it or not, I don’t wanna see gooning and porn 24/7 when on socials lol

That has been every MMO since time immemorial. Those with the most time receive more reward and arbitrary gates exist to either slow you down or equalize. Endgame has always been about showing off your kit, except now those uninterested in endgame have things they can show off to like minded people.

No there is no vibrancy in MMOs anymore. The sandbox is gone. It's just a waiting lobby for the time gated instance rotation.

Everyone hated Dynamis in the day. MMOs now are nothing BUT Dynamis.
