it's also shocking how blatant it is that almost every girl kpop girl is basically doing unpaid sex work throughout their career. more shocking how korean girls openly share the proofs of it. i met girls that are 'friends' with kpop stars that you would know and show me sex videos of them because it's totally normal to try to shame others. seoul is a hellscape.

The parasocialism is, in fact, insane. Two of them went on a live recently to call out the fact that they try to go to the hotel gym at like 2 am to work out in peace and 20-30 girls were there staring at them.

Those other two are getting more hate and death threats than even Chris Brown himself.

I think I mentioned this before, but the parallels between what they are going through and what the Beatles went through is pretty insane.

I enjoy the side of the fandom where we’re just laughing t the stupid shit they do, and the respect of how hard they work, but that’s about it.

Yeah it’s nuts. The kpop idol lifestyle is so extra too. They used to only get 1 day off a month.

One member talked about going to school->straight to studio->practice until 4->sleep on the floor of the studio->wake up at 6:30 and go back to school. All the while being threatened to get kicked out of the group by the company.

They have a lot more freedom now because of how huge they got so they should get to do whatever the fuck they want, yet they still can’t publicly date and now the fans make it so they are afraid to leave their hotel room.


One of the reasons I want to go see all the LA shows isn’t even obsession so much as I figure they will break up after the tour is over. So this will be my only time to see them.

I also am well aware I prob have sounded pretty parasocial with my spam posting but honestly it’s because:

1. Hard to talk to other fans sometimes since they know everything already, so fun to talk to peeps who know little about it as I learn myself.

2. Fans can be cray cray and I just can’t relate to a lot that comes out of it. Legit even I met some irl who are on the more normal side. These chicks easily spent maybe $10k or more on merch and tickets as they legit flew to other countries to go see them and had floor seats.

3. I tend to be more comfortable talking to dudes than chicks.

4. I’ve known you fuckers for forever now, and not much else to talk about currently for me.

Watching the Disney Legends ceremony from D23 and it’s hilarious how this thing is like a big celebrity black tie affair but also a fan convention at the same time. Front row you got the Jonas Brothers, The Rock, Lin Manuel Miranda, Anne Hathaway, etc. and like one row behind them is just some schmucks wearing a Deadpool t-shirt and Mickey ears.
