There were 3 FF games for every console until Final Fantasy XIII. The PS3 only had 2 and PS4 only has one. If we're lucky and FF XVI comes out soon maybe the PS5 will see 2 entries.

Can't blame console lifespans either, PS3 and PS4 both had 7-year cycles, 2 more than PSX and a few months more than PS2.

Really bummed they never got to finish the show proper, but with any luck HBO will pull thru and let them finish a season or give em a movie. I'd settle for a fucking comic at this point just to give the characters and universe a proper send off.
