Fuck that I-5/I-405/I-210/CA-14 traffic death zone. You either drive through that area at southbound 5am/northbound 2pm or southbound 10am/northbound 7pm. Anything else in between you just wasted an extra hour in traffic each way.

Basically a non-city cut out of uninterrupted sprawl between LA and San Bernadino. That whole stretch is pretty bleak.

Palmdale and Lancaster were basically the boonies, but housing prices are so ridiculous that a ton of people moved there and commute to LA and now it is decently developed.

I'd rather live in Rancho than Palmdale
And they have the one Northrup facility there, but it's pretty desolated otherwise. I've spent a decent amount of time in the AV.

Also Palmdale/Lancaster are the place to buy property right now if you wanna sell it for mils in a few decades. Santa Clarita is full, so now commuters are buying there.
