Drunk guy passes out in his car in an Atlanta Wendy's drive-thru. Cops arrive, give him a field sobriety test, he fails. They try to take him into custody, he resists, they try to taze him, he takes the tazer, runs away, they shoot him to death.
It's almost as if these pigs are out of control.

Wait, the pigs are out of control for trying to arrest someone who was DUI and then had to resort to other measures after the suspect was resisting arrest and stole a police tazer?
Not saying he should have been shot, but at face value it sounds like the officers went down the non-lethal checklist with someone who was drunk, behind the wheel of a car, and refused to be taken into custody. Sitting behind the wheel of a car while drunk, even if the car isn't running, is a DUI is Georgia.
I think some more info is needed here before everyone gets ahead of themselves.
They got embarrassed and responded by murdering a fleeing suspect.
Yeah I dunno. Shooting civillians in the back is probably a bad look.
To be honest he only had a tazer and was drunk to boot, problem I see with it is they're resorting to lethal force when their target isn't a lethal threat. Gun's shouldn't really be used unless the suspect is armed with a lethal weapon. Hell the gobshite was running away not attacking which make's it even more unnessesary.
Aren't they supposed to shoot in the leg?!
I mean, I chased one of my best friends around with a baseball bat trying to fight him in the parking lot of a pool hall when I was trashed once. Called total bullshit until his GF showed me the video.

If I had done this on active duty, I'd have been charged with a war crime.
Starting to gain a lot of traction this afternoon. Atlanta will probably pop off tonight.
Well there’s video so I’m not sure what other evidence you need

I just find it irresponsible to immediately go to "fucking pigs" when the potential of a drunk driver causing an accident and killing people himself is a result.
I don't see anywhere where he was shot in the back. If that's the case, that's really bad and the whole situation is terrible with someone dying. But this is exactly what the police are for; to protect the public from potential harm and this guy, if all the information is accurate, was a threat to public safety simply being behind the wheel of a car while drunk.
I want to stress that I don't think the outcome is right, but I think the public needs more info before jumping right to "fucking pigs".
Sorry, I can be apologetic for someone being shot unnecessarily but that is diminished a bit when drunk driving is involved.
I would want my neighborhood to have the full story before resorting to riots and pitchforks.
to spam with you!

Obviously he shouldn’t have been shot but at what point do we discuss the individuals responsibility to properly control himself with or without the influence of alcohol? He was drunk behind the wheel of a car. That in itself is disgusting behavior to me, not that it should be matched with lethal enforcement, but there’s a bigger picture here than just going down the “fucking pigs” route I would say. And I think that’s what Kirin is expressing.
