It exists. In a few cities, mainly Portland, and it isn't organized.

It's the same shit as "Anonymous" - it serves as a calling card that anyone can claim association to for whatever reason. These days, mainly the right as a boogeyman to pin everything on.

I forget if I posted it earlier, but Friday night, for about an hour, Secret Service protocol had Trump/Melania/Baron moved to the WH bunker and Secret Service was in the White House with assault rifles, during some of the protest

Reports I've heard was that it was only an hour or two. I think he is being physically restrained away from his phone or something. Every tweet he has sent has made things worse. DC Mayor laid into him hard.

So out of curiosity, why don't people protesting go to the elected officials houses or Govenor, mayor or anyone who has any kind of power like the DA, police chief, etc and protest there? Wouldn't that have more of an effect than the randomness right now? Seems more productive.

I think a lot of cities have a "mayors house" or something equivalent. But if they don't live there, and I don't think they often do, then they probably live at their unlisted address that only their friends and family know of, like every other American citizen.

At least in my town the protest was at a police station, that seems the most fitting place to protest by far here.
