So is the point that its only white people responding? I saw many black/brown people responding to the interview on other platforms (if we are basing it solely on their profile pic) and they condemned the violence too.

Also, there is a reason the Kings are not at the forefront of these racial battles anymore, most of them are not supported like MLK because they are so radical and just riding off his fame.

it's a little more complicated than that as MLK's approval rating fluctuated greatly, was highest during his civil rights right work, and plummeted when he began speaking a little socialisty + most especially after he criticized the Vietnam War in its early stages. and though its hard for modern Americans to grasp post-deification towards the later years of his life he was simply increasingly seen as irrelevant.

in 1964 (the year he won the Nobel Peace Prize and the year after Birmingham / March on Washington / I have a Dream) was 44% positive (vs 38% negative)
in 66 (the year he shifted hard towards economic inequality and a year after Vietnam began popping off) was 32% positive (vs 63% negative)
and lastly in a poll taken the week he was assassinated was a pitiful 28% positive

Coroner report said it wasn't asphyxia.

The police provided autopsy said he died from heart failure caused by an overdose or some shit like that.

And there's also the part where only 1 of the 4 cops involved have been arrested so far. So the post is both refuting the first autopsy and calling for more arrests

Autopsy by police didn't list those as cause of death.
