I've been fucked with multiple times. Just today, I'm walking downtown to a service call. There are cops on foot, bikes and horses everywhere. So walking and I can hear a bike riding up from behind, so I scoot over to give them room, and these cops slowed down and stop in front of me and just stare. I'm wearing all black, and I have my tools in a black backpack tool bag and I'm wearing a mask because we are still in a pandemic. They ask me where I'm going and who I work for. I show them the name of the company is on my shirt, and my service call is literally 4 doors away.
So they let me walk, but also followed until I walked in.

The kid is recovering. This man, so far, is not. And he may not.

Black people politely asked to not be murdered by the police. The police responded by violently assaulting, maiming, permanently crippling, kidnapping, and arresting children, elected officials,random pedestrians, kneeling protestors,pastors,journalists, and various other civilians like a person sitting on their front porch on international television. They did so while blatantly setting up false flags like burning their own police cars to blame it on protestors.
Your take on this is to say everyone needs to think about the poor policemen that somehow got all sorts of people enraged at them and whitesplain to everyone. Get the fuck out of here with your racism. You aren't fooling anyone.

It definitely leans on what you're getting at since protestors opened fire on the police/national guard first. They returned fire, killing a BBQ chef. The police chief was quickly terminated over the handling of this weekends protests.

Except, you know, poor GEORGE FLOYD. And all the other previous deaths by cops people are righteously pissed as hell at. Trying to treat this as an isolated incident is madness. This didn't happen in a day. It's the work of centuries, a dam that finally has possibly given up the ghost and started a flood to wash away the old system of America. Lives will be lost- of course they will. Innocent blood will be shed- a veritable flood to stain the ground crimson. But what do you expect when you build a shitty ass wall to oppress the river of progress then screw up on the maintenance? And you can NEVER build a dam big enough to hold the river back forever. Sooner or later something has to give. Progress can be controlled and slowed- in fact, it can often be a wise choice to do so to avoid chaos- but to block the march of equality like America has done, well...you take what you want...and you pay for it, sooner or later.

The problem has been stated multiple times, this place is an echo chamber. People seemingly want it to be an echo chamber. The police chief is receiving full pension and paid vacation through the rest of the month until he would have nominally retired.

He wasn't "fired" he was allowed to take early retirement.

A 22-year-old Iowa woman was fatally shot in the back early Monday morning as she was leaving a protest against police brutality.

Italia Marie Kelly had been protesting with a friend Sunday night over the death of George Floyd when she began to feel uncomfortable at the late-night demonstration held in a Davenport Walmart parking lot, according to the Des Moines Register. As she and her friend got into their vehicle, Kelly was struck by a bullet that went through her shoulder and chest.

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) on Tuesday called out President Trump for what she thought was his “unsympathetic” handling of peaceful protesters who were dispersed with tear gas on Monday evening so Trump could pose with a Bible in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

She said it was "painful to watch" U.S. Park Police and National Guard troops fire tear gas and forcefully push through a large group of peaceful protesters to clear a way for Trump. The dispersed people were protesting the death of George Floyd, an unarmed African-American man, under police custody in Minneapolis last week.

Collins, who faces a competitive reelection race in a state where Trump is expected to lose the popular vote, said Trump’s actions were not what the country needs at a time of widespread racial tension and high unemployment, which have added to the anxiety surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

“To me, at a time like this, the president ought to be trying to calm the nation, pledge to right historic wrongs and be a steady influence. I don’t think he was last night,” Collins told reporters when asked about the president’s controversial walk across H Street between Lafayette Square and St. John’s Episcopal Church, which had been partially burned over the weekend by rioters.

“It was painful to watch peaceful protesters be subjected to tear gas in order for the president to go across the street to a church that I believe he’s attended only once,” she said.

“All of us are upset at the fire that was set at the church, an historic house of worship for many, many presidents, but I thought the president came across as unsympathetic and as insensitive to the rights of people to peacefully protest,” she added.

Trump’s actions have received little comment or criticism from Senate Republicans on Tuesday.

Collins and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) were two of only a few Republicans to call out Trump’s actions.

"I did not think that what we saw last night was the America I know," Murkowski told reporters.
