Oof. This game handles boundaries pretty poorly. First it stops me from climbing up a mountain the is still obviously traversable with an invisible barrier and a “cannot proceed any further message.” Then, in the water, it gives me “go any further and you will be restarted at your last checkpoint!”
Lazy shit.

Gotta convince the choir people to let me in their holy mountain because Ally finally decided to play nice for some reason despite her telling literally everyone else in the game to “fuck off, I do what I want?”

Future tech people are the dudes who tried to steal Gaia. And they’re the ones that also sent the signal that corrupted the other AI. Are they trying to make it a mystery?

I got some Tomb Raider flashbacks when Aloy got sucked down the waterfall and she hit that fallen tree under the water. God, they killed Lara so horribly in that game in so many different ways lol

And I've finished the game.

I only have 10 different overrides to get platinum (I tend to kill stuff instead of hacking it).
Only stuff uncompleted is the Arena, Machine Strike, and collecting/upgrading all the gear. (And true 100% the map I guess, getting everything, not just the unknown markers).

It's as good as the first, has some great moments.
It felt kind of, shorter, faster, than the original though.

To be vague for spoilers, If this was the casino mission, that didn’t bother me. Neither have any of the water areas Ive been to aside from that first cave near chainscrape since it’s illuminated enough to see far distances.

So I had some performance stuttering on a side quest after installing 1.08.

Prior to that, I only ran into one bug that was a near soft lock. Had to fast travel. Posted it on Reddit for the laughs.

I had a problem the other day doing a quest. Can’t remember the name but it involved an Utaru and Tenakth and Aloy teaming up to go get rations at a ruin. Ends with a fight against a widemaw and a kangaroo. I killed them both and the battle music still played and the NPCs just stood there. Fast travel didn’t fix it. Found on Reddit that apparently there’s a second kangaroo that gets stuck on terrain in a stream by a bridge a bit aways.


I think I’ll try and platinum this game. Shouldn’t be too hard, assuming Overriding everything I need to isn’t too time consuming. Though I think the real hurdle is scanning every single Burrower type.

You only have to override 10, so its not that bad. The worst part is theres no running list, and thats not the end of the world.
Also you dont have to scan every individual mob type, just one per family.

Yeah, only caveat is my understanding there is one you have to scan at the very end and it's a little bitch. I haven't looked at the trophy list yet due to potential spoilers, but i'm about 20 away from 100% the game. I haven't unlocked the Arena yet, and only did the initial race, so I'm guessing those two have trophies tied to them.

Win two gauntlet races
Clear one tier of arena
Clear all hunting grounds
Clear all melee pit (which youll prob do for spear upgrade anyways)

I think those were some of my last trophies i got to plat the game.

Also patch notes said they fixed the final boss needing to be scanned for trophy? Not sure how, unless killing it counts as a scan.

Yes, but you don't need to 100% them. For cheevos anyway.
You do need to do the arena and races if you want all the legendary armor and weapons.

The main thing is, I didn't get quite enough skill points to max out the skill trees, still have, I think, 4 valor actions to get 2 more levels each in.
I havn't dug around, but I'm guessing I need to get most of those points from machine strike.

I just started these. The tutorials are horrible. I spent 10 minutes trying to do the Sustained Breaker combo and had to look it up to get it.
Just one more pit then I can challenge the final dude. All the tutorial fancy moves kind of seem like just a waste of time though. Simple R1/R2 and shooting resonator spots seems to be more than enough so far.

Gotta do all the extra stuff now since I got the “let me know when your ready for the final mission” dialog. I assume so anyway I just finished-

Glad I'm not the only one who had to look up and see that "Press R1 and hold, Press R1 then R2" actually meant "Press R1 and hold, release R1 and press R2", or whatever the combo was.

If it makes you feel better, I was yesterday days old when I realized you could remove shit from the item wheel. So spent a few minutes removing all the useless garbage so I can find my traps and large healing potions faster.

This is something I am learning right as I read your post, so I will also immediately be doing that next time I get on. Same with yesterday, when I learned you can make jobs at your bench so basically it makes robot materials you need for upgrades technically quests that you can mark on your map/show what machines you need.
