Takes 8-10 hours to complete. Narrative-driven town builder + bugsnax catcher. All of the bugsnax say their name like pokemon.

Supposedly this game is actually much darker than what's shown in the trailers, so I think the unsettling visual weirdness is on purpose.

A_Seagull(Twitch streamer I watch) did a full playthrough of this game and legitimately it looks like an incredible game. I can't say much without spoiling its worth a playthrough for sure. I'd say great humor, storytelling, and character writing... on top of an unexpectedly great ending.

Just giving some peeps a heads up, since many here have kids now. WE got this game for our kids since it was promoted as a kids game. Thankfully, they haven't gotten far into it, and a friend of ours gave us the heads up.

There is a bad ending to this game that is just super f'ed up and many parents say their kids have like nightmares about it. I watched a video and yea it's really bad for kids. Ending spoiler:

The premise is to save the people on the island and you become friends with them. If you don't complete the sidequests then the people end up turning into all kinds of food and disintegrate with like suicidal/depressed comments. Kids get super attached to these characters, so yeah they are gonna freak out when they watch them die on screen.

I am sure there are kids that can handle this stuff, but it's good to warn about it. I read there are some divorce jokes in there, too, (have not verified) so if you are a divorcee, you might wanna look more into it before letting your kid play it.
