It's finally here and it feels amazing. They even give you that new music game mode to try out while it's downloading. I'm bumping some Idris Elba track while testing out these controls. Game looks greatttt
Also I wish I had a simulation setup, but until I do I'm using the dual sense and just wow, the haptic feedback is Astros Playroom levels of detailed. There's bumps on a city track where different concrete slabs come together and you can feel the bumps in your hand as your driving over them.

Finally, this is the Gran Turismo I’ve been longing for.
I've played a bit over the weekend and I am generally very satisfied. Visuals look stunning, overall lounge-y menu music are amazing, remastered race tunes all the way from GT1 are awesome. I am extremely happy that they kept the music style intact in west (iirc they messed it up in GT1 back then)
So far my only complaint is the AI...too early to tell but there may be a rubber band AI here, if so I'll be a bit disappointed. Got by B-1 license and started racing in Clubman + with the brand new BMW M4 I bought through sunday cup races. I constantly finished last despite racing against cars like WV Beetle '66. I'll try a different car later on but something feels a bit off here.
Anyway, back to saving for a '03 M3 and a Fiat 500.
I'm playing on hard and the AI has been challenging when my car wasn't leaps ahead of thiers in power. I've tried some of the races that aren't required for the cafe, and they're definitely hard. The dual sense has been surprisingly precise for driving, but idk if I can do those races without pedals and a wheel tbh

I need to find myself at least an old G29 wheel to play this, my uncle donated me his foldable stand to put a wheel and pedals, now i gotta find a way to get my hands on that wheel.
Dunno if it's useful, bu humble bundle just put up a racing bundle with 2 20% coupons for the Thrustmaster T150 and T248

I saw a post on reddit mathing out that the rate you earn the in game currency (relative to what it would cost to just spend real money) puts it lower than most states minimum wage.
The credit stuff isnt really an issue imo, I haven't felt any need to buy credits or even sit and spam 1 track over and over so far and Ive completed the "cafe" thing already. They just nerfed some shit people were spamming, the reaction to that has been a bit extra me thinks.
The real problem imo is that the single player is tied to this always online bs so no one has been able to play for 30 hours and no update from them for over 24 hours now lol. Worst PR ive ever seen.
Booted the game up today and welp, 1,000,000 credit gift cheque waiting for me in my garage.
Then I jumped into the Tokyo Highway Parade Championship, won the race on first try with a rock solid lead thanks to my incredible driving skills.
Oh I might've missed a minor detail, opponents were mostly Renault Clio's while I was driving a Lamborghini Avendator.
Wait for me VW Beetle '66, I am so gonna get you in Tokyo Clubman Cup!
